Frosted Yellow Uranium Atomic Bolo Tie.

This Bolo Tie features a cabochon of frosted yellow Uranium Glass centered on an atom, and used as a bolo slide. It has a 36″ cord with weighted ends.

Uranium glass doesn’t glow in the dark, but glows beautifully under a UV light. I use a 365nm Blacklight in order to demonstrate their fluorescence for the photos in this listing.

Vaseline, and other types of Uranium glass do not glow in the dark, but they do fluoresce bright green under an ultraviolet light (blacklight) owing to the trace amounts (usually 2% or less by weight) of uranium oxide that are used in the production of the glass. Most is considered to be harmless, or only negligibly radioactive.
