Black & Chrome Double Cufflinks… 1930s Art Deco… Jakob Bengel… Modernist Design

A very stylish pair of vintage modernist style cufflinks, c.1930s in date. They are very much in the style of German designer Jakob Bengel, but his pieces were never signed and I cannot find a reference. The links are thick metal, quite heavy with a deeply ribbed barrel shape. The metal has a bright chrome plate, and each link has two stripes of painted black enamel between the ridges (see photos). They are nice quality, in lovely vintage condition- a little slight rubbing to the back edges of the metal and some slight loss and wear to the black enamel- see photos. The links are approx. 14mm by 12mm. Very stylish- they would lok good on a men’s or a women’s shirt. Please see all photos.
