70s vintage neck tie made in Japan by Sillook. Dark blue base with white and red dotted abstract pattern. Mens New Old Stock necktie. Cravat
$34.00 $23.80
From a collectors archive that was bought individually in the 70s from the prestigious Kintetsu department store and retained until now, this remarkable tie is a genuine one off that could never be repeated. It has employed the unusual printing techniques from the kimono industry to achieve this compelling abstract abstract dotted effect.
Unworn in superb condition and suitable as gift standard.
From the vault of a wealthy Japanese gentleman who collected for posterity instead of actually wearing them.
Made of polyester by Sillook this was a innovative material in the 70s that counteracted the problem of not being able to launder silks but replicated it’s appearance accurately which presumably is why this Japanese company called themselves Sillook ie Silk look.
