Lovely little set of angled cufflinks with gorgeous onyx inlays in a classic mid century design. Vintage gold tone, this set is simple and elegant, beautiful enough to grace your shirts and ties all year round.
Founded in 1948 in England, Sphinx became known as a manufacturer of high quality costume jewellery. During the Fifties and Sixties, they produced jewellery for brands as Boucher. Their beautifully designed accessories looked like real jewels and the company’s reputation and output grew rapidly. Sphinx began to produce jewellery for the very best brands and stores, among them, Butler & Wilson, Saks 5th Ave. and Bloomingdale’s. The company ceased operations in the late 1990s. Today, Sphinx pieces are highly collectible.
