These very smart historical British Fire Service Association, fire service themed cufflinks are created from up-cycled old-style tunic pocket buttons and are generic to all fire services in the UK rather than specific to one service. The buttons are recycled from vintage fire service tunics so have a genuine connection with the historic UK fire services. The buttons are chrome plated polished metal with the original brass backs which cannot be seen due to the mounting. The cufflink mounts are lightweight metal, silver / chrome in colour matching the appearance of the buttons.
They are mounted in a beautiful dark brown faux leather presentation box and make a lovey gift for retirement or passing out or for anyone who has an interest in the fire service. They are handmade in the UK and you cannot buy these in the shops. The design on these buttons does not vary from what is depicted and will always have been in service on a uniform retaining a genuine connection with serving and retired firefighters. These generic 17mm buttons are now rare and I can only make small numbers in this particular design when the buttons can be sourced. I suggest you order today to avoid disappointment.
