Historic Genuine Vintage Ambulance Service Tunic Button Cufflinks. 1950’s 1960’s. Handmade
$36.00 $25.20
These very smart and rare vintage 1950’s 60’s tunic button cufflinks are created from up-cycled old-style, 17mm tunic pocket buttons and have the crest as decoration. All of the buttons used have been on an ambulance service tunic and in service so have a genuine connection with the history of the UK ambulance service. Harking from a day when ambulance crews dressed similar to police officers in black tunics and trousers. The buttons are chrome plated polished metal with the original brass backs which cannot be seen due to the mounting. The cufflink mounts are lightweight metal, silver / chrome in colour matching the appearance of the buttons.
They are supplied in a dark brown faux leather presentation box and make a lovey gift for joining, serving or retired ambulance crew / paramedic, or someone interested in the history of the NHS or emergency responders. They are handmade in the UK by a retired police officer and you cannot buy these in the shops.
I make these in batches as I am able to get the rare buttons and often sell out before more can be made, so please don’t wait otherwise you may be disappointed.
Should you wish a pair to be made for another specific police service this can often be done, so please message me and I will see what I can do. Alternatively if the person you are buying for has an old tunic or has saved the buttons from one, I can mount these to make this a very personal gift indeed.
