Historic Greater Manchester Council Fire Service Tunic Button Cufflinks. Handmade.
$34.00 $23.80
A beautiful set of Greater Manchester Council (GMC) crest fire service cufflinks, created from up-cycled old-style 17mm tunic pocket / cuff buttons. All of the buttons used have been in service so have a genuine connection with the history of the Greater Manchester Fire Service. The buttons are chrome plated polished metal with the original brass backs which cannot be seen due to the mounting. The mountings are chrome / silver in colour matching the Chromed finish of the buttons.
They are supplied in a dark brown faux leather presentation box and make a lovey gift for joining, serving or retired firefighter, or someone interested in the history of firefighting. They are handmade in the UK by a retired police officer and you cannot buy these in the shops.
I make these in batches only when I am able to get the rare 17mm buttons and often sell out before more can be made. It is very unlikely I will get any more like this soon, so please don’t wait otherwise you may be very disappointed and miss them.
Should you wish a pair to be made for another specific fire service, police service or military service, this can often be done, so please message me and I will see what I can do. Alternatively if the person you are buying for has an old tunic or has saved the buttons from one, I can mount these to make this a very personal gift indeed.
